Commission reviewing local level election
A team of National Human Rights Commission has organized a review program in Dailkh with election observers, human rights activists and journalists in issues during the first phase of local level election on May 14.
During the review, the participants said that there was no effective voter’s education, unmanaged distribution of voter’s ID card, delay in getting ID cards and problem created due to the similar color of stamp and ballot papers .
The local journalists complained the commission’s officials of unfavorable environment for the journalists in vote counting place and not getting support.
Human Rights Officer Dwarika Devi Adhikari of regional office, Nepalgunj and a team of Bijaya Upreti have been operating the pre and post election monitoring since one week.
