NHRC offices to remain open during festival holidays
The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has said that the commission will remain open during the festivals such as Dashain, Tihar and Chhat parba.
The commission releasing a press statement on September 26 stated that the commission will open from 11am till 2Pm during the festival.
The statement says” the commission has managed to open complaint lodging branch even during holidays for the protection of human rights of general people during the festive season”.
During the period, the commission will take complaints on serious nature of human rights violation and might also perform emergency monitoring if the incident is of serious nature, the statement says.
