Beneficiaries Complains of not getting Social Security Allowances
The senior citizens complained of not getting security allowances even in Hindu’s great festival Dashain.
According to the INSEC district representative Man Datta Rawal, senior citizens at Jumal district c did not get social security allowances which has hampered their merry making and feasting celebration in a great festival Dashain according to Tirtha Raj Bharati, chairperson of Senior Citizens Federation of Jumla. The Chandanath Municipality of was suppose to distribute the allowances before Dashain however they failed to do it according to him.
Chairperson Yagya Bahadur of City Disabled Network said that the disabled person are worried after they did not get the allowances in Dashain.
Acting Executive Director Lokendra Mahat of Chandan Nath Municipality of Jumla said that due to some technical issues, the security allowances could not be distributed before Dashain. He added that in this financial year more than 10 million budget was allocated.
However administrative officer Laxmi Prasad Upadhya of District Development Committee of Jumla said that there is a target to distribute the allowances to 26 VDCs before Dashain.
According to our Kaski District Representative Bishnu Prasad Adhikari, due to the lack of Bank in the village, the senior citizens were deprived of security allowances.
Narayan Prasad Adhikari, secretary of Kaskikot VDC said that the beneficiaries of allowances are facing difficulties due to the government policy to distribute social security allowance through Bank.
