Banned CPN Cadre Arrested
Police have arrested Bishnu Raj Lekhak a cadre of the banned CPN from Shailya Shikhar Municipality-9 on 3 August 2020.
Lekhak was arrested on the basis of information that he was involved in setting fire to a governmental motorbike used by Ramdhani Bista, chairman of Shailya Shikhar Municipality-9, informed Inspector Bhaskar Chand of District Police Office, Darchula.
Previously, CPN District Committee Member of Shailya Shikhar Municipality-2 Ratauda’s Pratap Wad, district member of the same party Chakraman BK of Shailya Shikhar Municipality-2 and Dhaniram Lawad, District Chairperson, Dalit Mukti Morcha of Shailya Shikhar Municipality-3 were arrested for being involved in the case of burning the motorbike.
Inspector Chand informed that a case of sedition has been registered against the arrested CPN leaders and cadres.
