Arson at Ward Office by Unknown Group
Police informed of arson at the ward office of Aathbiskot Municipality- 10 on 24 December by a group of intruders. The ward office was sabotaged and the computer, printer, camera and many other materials were also burned.
According to District Police Office Rukum (west)’s DSP Sumit Khadka, the locals informed the police at midnight after seeing the materials burning inside the ward office.
As a result of the arson, the ward office’s furniture and documents of the past three years were destroyed, informed the ward chairperson Ganga Ram Chanara.
The ward office went through a loss of around 2 lakh, said chairperson Chanara.
The District Police Office, Rukum (west) informed that they are investigating about the incident and the involved group.
