Arrested on charge of gang rape
Police have arrested 22 years old Bishnu Tharu of Gaidhawa Rural Municipality-9 on June 30 on charge of gang raping two 25 years old women. He was absconding after the incident according to the police.
Prior to this, police had already arrested Jeevan Gyawali a month ago on charge of involvement in a same incident.
The victim was gang raped by both of them on June 17 luring her for snacks. The victim’s party had lodged complaint at Area Police Office of Lumbini on June 19 against the accused.
Police source has said that other 13 people involved in an incident are still at large and search for them is undergoing. Inspector Shankar Pokhrel of District Police Office said that duo victims underwent health checkup on June 19.
