Arrested on charge of abduction
Police have arrested 38 years old Jaya Ram Das of Tilottama Municipality-12 on June 26 on charge of abducting six years old girl.
According to the police source, the accused was arrested from room number 103 of one hotel at Butwal Sub-metropolis-5. The girl was rescued at the same time by the police.
The preliminary investigation has revealed that the accused abducted the girl after her mother refused the marriage proposal from the accused according to DSP Dharma Raj Bhandari.
The victim’s mother had lodged complaint at Area Police Office of Butwal on June 25. The accused was arrested based on the mobile location signal according to police. The victim underwent health checkup at Lumbini Provincial Hospital according to police.
