Application lodged at Patan High Court Quashed
Ganga Maya Adhikari of Gorkha Phujel has lodged an application at Patan high court on September 13 demanding to shift the case to Kathmandu regarding the of murder of her son. The case is being heard Chitwan District Court.
The victim lodged an application saying that there is very little chance of getting justice from Chitwan District Court. She complained that the culprits are freely travelling from one place to another without any hesitation.
Various people including lawyer and Human Rights activist Om Prakash Aryal, Babu Ram Giri, Pushpa Raj Paudel, Charan Prasai, Bimal Chandra Sharma, Kashi Ram Dhungel, Ganesh Bhandari, Rajesh Mishra, Ramesh Prasad Timilsina and Raju Paswan met with Registrar Bimal Paudel of the high court and requested to create an environment to get justice. Registrar Paudel had given a time until the evening whether the case will be registered or quashed. Registrar Paudel on the evening asked the victim to register case in Hetauda Bench according to rights activist Babu Ram Giri.
The application lodged by the victim Ganga Maya states that the reason behind the application is she has a little hope of getting justice from District Court of Chitwan and her health is deteriorating day by day. She has further hoped of getting justice from District Court of Kathmandu.
