Action taken against the accused of cast discrimination

The District Court of Ramechhap has ordered to take action against four people for their involvement in cast discrimination. The court has order for penalty of Rs 2,000 each from four accused along with Rs 25,000 compensation to the victim Krishna Kumar Bishwokarma,40 of Gokulganga Rural Municipality-4.

The accused had conducted caste discrimination to the victim by restricting him entering into the temple.

A single bench of District court judge Krishna Prasad Paudel had given a verdict on December 31. B.K was discriminated and penalized Rs 5,000 by the priest of the temple Chatra Bahadur Budathoki,40 and Bhim Bahadur Budathoki,50 on charge of victim entering the temple a year ago.

Meanwhile, Gunj Bahadur Karki and Marak Nath Jogi have been convicted by the court in the same incident.
