According to DSP Shrestha, Sahani has been kept at the District Police Office, Gaur. Former Minister and Nepali Congress leader Mohammad Aftab Alam was arrested for allegedly making a bomb in a cowshed in Farhadwa VDC-4 (now Rajpur Municipality-4) of Rajpur with the intention of interfering in the first Constituent Assembly election.

Former Minister Alam, who is believed to be the mastermind of the incident, has already been arrested.

According to the police, Alam had made a bomb at the house of his uncle Shesh Idris on April 10, 2008, targeting the Constituent Assembly (CA) election. It is alleged that the injured were taken to the brick kiln chimney by a tractor and burnt alive.

Institutions including the Informal Sector Service Centre (INSEC) had made a brief report on the incident on May 7, 2018, after conducting an on-site study.
