Absconding child abductor arrested

Police have arrested 28 years old Dharma Dev Yadav alias Bikram of Barahi Birpur VDC-5 on November 6 on charge of abducting 16 years old Sanjeev Shah. The accused was on the run after the court had ordered to sentence him for nine years after finding him guilty. He was arrested by the police and sent to Raj Biraj prison on November 7.

He had abducted the victim, six years ago,in 2010 November 12 from Barahi Birpur VDC-5. Exactly after six years, the accused is arrested by the police according to DSP Dan Bahadur Karki of DPO.

The police had filed the case against Yadav along with Bholendra Prasad Yadav,45, Krishna Dev Yadav,35, Gulab Sharma,31 and Ashok Yadav, 28 of Fakira VDC-5 on charge of their involvement in abduction.

Bholendra Yadav was doing his jail term at Raj Biraj prison by the court order in 2011 June 3 and Ashok Yadav was also doing his jail term at Rajbiraj prison by an appellate court order in 2012 November 20. Both the accused got the acquittal from the court.

The court decision was re-observed by the appellate court in 2016 August 31st and ordered to sentence all the accused for nine years along with the penalty.
