Citizens Suffering due to lack of Bridge (Photo Feature)
Darchula and Dharchula are connected by the Mahakali River. The door of the suspension bridge connecting Darchula and Darchula opens at 7 in the morning. The door closes again at 5 p.m. As soon as the door of the bridge is opened, the locals start moving around Nepal and India i.e. Darchula Dharchula. This continues not only in Khalanga, the district headquarters, but people also use Tuin, in half a dozen places in the north to commute over the river.
For the citizens of Byas rural municipality-2, it is a regular chore. It is Dhami’s job to help those who pass through the Tuin. Many do not know how to use the Tuin and Dhami says if locals do not know how to operate it, they have high risk of falling off and dying. Dhami has been sending them with the help of rope.
